There is the profound legacy of Sarkar Waris Pak, a revered Sufi saint from Dewa, near Lucknow. As the successor of the Qadriyya-Razzakiyya Silsila and belonging to the 26th generation of Hazrat Imam Hussain, born in 1809, Sarkar Waris Pak embraced people of all faiths into his community, earning respect even from the esteemed Firangi Mahal.
To allow you to experience this spiritual heritage, we offer an exclusive excursion to Dewa Sharif. Our comfortable transportation will collect you from your city hotel at 17:45 hrs. Accompanied by a knowledgeable Sufi researcher/guide, you will learn about the rich traditions and significance of this Sufi path during the journey to Dewa Sharif.
Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to pay your respects at the shrine through the ritual of ‘Chadar Poshi’, the offering of a grave covering cloth and flowers. Following this, immerse yourself in a soul-stirring seated session with Qawwals, devotional Sufi singers who honour the saint through their music. Our expert guide will provide translations of the songs, allowing you to fully appreciate their meaning and spirit.
