At Tornos, our guides are exceptional individuals with strong academic backgrounds and extensive experience in their fields. They not only possess knowledge gained through coursework and research but also undergo continuous rigorous training and refresher programmes to ensure the highest level of expertise. Each of our guides has unique specialisations and excels in their specific domain, allowing them to share the most authentic and academically researched insights with our guests.
Since our establishment in 1994, Tornos has been a pioneer in the field of tourist guiding in Uttar Pradesh. At that time, professional guides were largely limited to Agra and Varanasi. We took the initiative to develop our own comprehensive training methodologies. Today, we are proud that the Government of Uttar Pradesh utilises our expertise and training techniques for their own tourist guides and refresher courses. We have had the distinct honor of training approximately 2000 state and local level tourist guides for Uttar Pradesh, many of whom are now serving in key tourist destinations like Varanasi, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, and Ayodhya.
We believe that travel should be more than just seeing sites; it should be a truly immersive experience. Often, a lack of local expertise or the superficial dissemination of knowledge prevents visitors from fully connecting with a place beyond what is found in basic history books. Delivering a genuine ‘sightexperience’ requires passion and in-depth local knowledge, qualities that are central to the Tornos approach.

(Subject specialisations are in the area of Indian Mutiny, Gastronomy, Embroidery, Shiite History & Beliefs, British History etc. Though this is subject to availability.)
^ Indep (Independent) Service Surcharge is applicable over and above the applicable fee, when services of a guide is availed independent of our transport (transport being from outside and not ours).

Services of a Transfer Representative : (Applicable when transport is not taken from us. When transport is from us, assistance is FOC)

For Ayodhya / Prayagraj / Varanasi : F/D Cost applies. Add INR 2500 Per guest for privileged access in temples etc.,
For Kanpur, Bithoor & Naimisharanya guides are sent from Lucknow – Excursion Allowance is applicable
