We invite you to experience the rich flavors of Maeve Meads at Mbrosia. Savor our exceptional honey wines, better called, ‘Meads’, crafted from local ingredients grown at Madhav Udyan. The meads produced here come from Lucknow Mangoes, Mulberry, Bananas, Mint and many more.
During this guided tour, you will learn about the variety of fruits grown on the farm and the journey from farm to glass. You will also enjoy a tasting session of honey and meads—the most sustainable alcoholic beverage, produced naturally at Maeve Meadery. As the largest meadery in Asia, we are the only facility that grows its own produce to craft these unique meads right here in Lucknow.
What is a Mead?
Often referred to as “honey wine,” mead is an ancient alcoholic beverage made by fermenting honey with water. It typically includes fruits and spices.
While it is often grouped with wine or beer, mead is actually a distinct category. Its alcohol content ranges from 3.5% to over 20% ABV, and it can be produced as either a still or sparkling drink, with flavors ranging from very dry to sweet.
