Diwali, the most significant festival in Hinduism, celebrates the joyous return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya with his wife Sita and brother Laxmana after fourteen years of exile and his triumph over Ravana. The city of Ayodhya, Lord Rama’s birthplace and kingdom, was illuminated to welcome him home, marking the very beginning of the festival of lights. Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, hope over despair and good over evil.
Deepotsav in Ayodhya, a magnificent event conceptualised by Tornos in 2016 and recognised as a flagship celebration by the Government of Uttar Pradesh since 2017. This spectacular event, held a day before Diwali, features the ceremonial lighting of an unprecedented number of earthen lamps, along with a captivating laser show and projection mapping that vividly narrates the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya.
